Dear
Michigan Vocal Music Educator,
Though
the days are short and the air is cold, the 81st season of Interlochen Summer Arts Camp is right around the corner. Interlochen is offering the following summer study opportunities for student vocalists in grades
6-12:
- High School Choral and Operetta Program: Designed for the aspiring choral singer, conductor, music educator, and soloist, students accepted into this selective program
participate in three full performances during the course of the summer, including a major work with an orchestra.
- High School Vocal Soloist Studies: An intensive four-week program that addresses the individual training requirements of the young classical solo singer.
- All-State Choir: A two-week program that provides Michigan high school students with an opportunity to rehearse and perform major repertoire
within a full choral ensemble. Directed by Jeffrey Cobb.
- Vocal Arts for Grades 6-9: Students develop group performance skills in both large and small ensembles, with an emphasis placed on learning appropriate
literature for young adolescents.
- Interlochen also offers Musical Theatre Programs for grades 6-12.
Scholarships
and financial aid are available! Students can apply online or by mail. The priority application date is February 1. After February 1, students will be admitted as openings permit. |
